FAQWhat do I get in a CV Joint Kit? Everything you need to replace a CV joint. Typically the joint, neoprene boot, stainless bands, circlip, spindle (hub) nut and the correct grease charge.
What do I get with a Drive Shaft? A complete pre-assembled shaft ready to fit.
Why do you need VIN and Engine Type numbers? You might believe that you have a '97 'R' plate vehicle but there is a chance that it was sat on an airfield somewhere for several months before it was first registered. The VIN (chassis number) helps us pin down the vehicle with greater accuracy. The Engine Type gives us access to the gearbox data.
Can you identify a vehicle from the registration number? In a word, No. The registration number can be tied to a vehicle by a main dealer but, unlike the rest of Europe, identification information is not in the public domain. The main dealer says I need a complete axle, why do you offer a CV for my vehicle? To improve profit and reduce stock levels main dealers now sell a lot of assemblies rather than components. Just because they only offer a complete drive shaft doesn't mean you can not change the joints.
Do you need the old core back? No, all the parts we provide are new not re-manufactured therefore you do not pay a "core charge".
